의문문,  there is / are,  의문사

 

1. 의문문

- 말하는 사람이 듣는 사람에게 답을 구하는 문장  >  쉽게 말해 질문

- 문장 끝에  ' ? '  를 사용

- 의문사와 함께 사용되기도 함

- 의문사 :  what,  who,  when,  where,  how,  why

 

- be 동사 의문문 만드는 법 : 주어와 동사 위치 바꾸면 됨

- 예시

• She is a good person.  >  Is she a good person?   (현재 시제)
• She was a good person.  >  Was she a good person?   (과거 시제)

 

1 - 1} 의문문에 답하는 법

- 의문사가 없는 질문에는 Yes,  No 로 대답

- 대답에는 주어 + be 동사 줄여쓰지 않음

- 예시 

• [Q]  Am i the captain?
  [A]  Yes, you are  /  No, you are not. (= No, you aren't.)
• [Q]  Are you happy?
  [A]  Yes, i am.  /  No, i am not. (= No, i'm not.)

 

- 답할때 아니면 무조건 No!  동의는 무조건 Yes! (중요함)

- 예시

• [Q]  Aren't we there yet?
  [A]  Yes, we are.  /  No, we aren't.
• [Q]  Wasn't she jun?
  [A]  Yes, she was.  /  No, she wasn't.

 

 

2. there is / are

-  ' ~가 있다 '  로 해석

- there 해석 안함

 

2 - 1} There is

- 형태 : There is(not)  /  Is there....?  +  단수명사, 셀 수 없는 명사

- 예시

• There is an apple on the plate.
• [Q]  Is there  an apple on the plate?   >   [A]  Yes, there is.  /  No, there isn't.
• There was some water in the bucket.
• [Q]  Was there some water in the bucket?   >   [A]  Yes, there was.  /  No, there wasn't.

 

2 - 2} There are

- 형태 : There are(not)  /  Are there....?   +  복수명사

- 예시

• There are many people on the street.
• [Q]  Are there many people on the street?   >   [A]  Yes, there are.  /  No, there aren't.
• There were many people on the street.
• [Q]  Were there many people on the street?   >   [A]  Yes, there were.  /  No, there weren't.

- 영어에서는 5W1H

- 종류

• what : 무엇
• who : 누가
• when : 언제
• where : 어디서
• how : 어떻게
• why : 왜

- 의문사가 있는 be 동사 의문문 형태 : 의문사 + be동사 + 주어 + ?

- 예시

• What is it ?
• Who are you ?

- 예시

[Q]  Who is that man ?

[A]  He is my brother

 

3 - 2} when

- 예시

[Q]  When was your last exam ?

[A]  It was the day before yesterday.

 

3 - 3} where

- 예시

[Q]  Where are your parents ?

[A]  They are at home.

 

3 - 4} what

- 예시

[Q]  What were the colors of flag ?

[A]  They were red and blue.

 

3 - 5} how

- 예시

[Q]  How is your lunch ?

[A]  It is delicious.

 

3 - 6} why

- 예시

[Q]  Why were those people early ?

[A]  Because they took the first train.
